When: Twice a month weekday evenings
Venue: Local theatres

Visits to some of the dozens of Fringe Theatres in and around central London. The Group goes to a wide range of plays twice a month (evening performances) eg The King's Head, Old Red Lion, Southwark Playhouse, Hampstead, Soho and Arcola. We have eclectic tastes, from the classical to very modern and cover drama, comedy and cabaret. Notice of planned visits is sent out regularly with play details and dates.  The Group is very informal. Each member buys their own ticket, usually from £12 to £30, and then just turns up at the theatre. We meet in the bar in the evening, about half an hour before curtain-up, and afterwards depending on when the play finishes. Please email the Group Coordinator to join this group. See below for our latest schedule of plays.

Notes:

Tickets are self-purchased and are often not numbered, unless otherwise indicated. Tickets are concession prices where available, for over 60/65s before any fees.
Links in blue should get you directly to the theatre web site.
Telephone number is for the theatre box office where relevant.
Travel arrangements are entirely optional. I will be at Highbury & Islington station in the entrance to go in wearing a red scarf (and also at the theatre), at the time stated for those who prefer to go to the theatre with others. Local Islington venues in Upper Street/St John’s Street are not included in this arrangement and are marked (*).

We aim to meet in the bar about 30 minutes before curtain up and go into the theatre about 15/10 minutes before curtain up. Depending on the finishing time, we can also have a drink and chat after the show. There is no need to tell me you are coming.
