u3a National and London Events

London Region of u3as Network events

The u3a London Region organises varied events throughout the year, which Islington u3a members are welcome to attend. These events take place in the London area or online. There are also opportunities for learning, for example, Shared Learning Projects provide an opportunity for u3a members in London to work in partnership with institutions such as museums, galleries, universities, libraries, archives, stately homes and institutes, engage actively in research or a similar enterprise to the mutual benefit of all involved.

National u3a events

The national u3a arranges many events of interest which are open to members of any u3a. Up-to-date details can be found on their website. You can also subscribe to the u3a Friends newsletter, which tells you about new developments and includes a link to the Friends Extra benefits website.

See details of this year's u3a Festival which will be held from 1st to 3rd July at the University of York.

National u3a online learning events

As part of your Islington u3a membership, you can access a wide range of free online talks, workshops, and courses. Most sessions are led by fellow members, sharing their expertise, with additional talks from notable speakers and organisations. All events are bookable via Eventbrite.

National u3a Interest Groups Online

Interest Groups Online is an online u3a community that gives you the opportunity to join groups, talks and courses from your home. In the same way as a local u3a, the activities are run by members and are a great way to meet people from across the u3a movement. Annual membership is just £12.00.
