Proposed new group:
Mahjong – Hong Kong style
We are hoping to start a new Mahjong group in addition to the existing 'Western-style' Group. There are many variations of the ancient Chinese game of Mahjong – with Hong Kong style being one of the simplest, most well known and widely played variations. If you know rummy, you can play Mahjong! Join the fun collecting pongs and kongs (sets of 3 or 4) or sheungs (runs) and adding value with the winds and dragons. Exploring London
This popular group has had to be temporarily suspended and needs new leadership to avoid closure. Ideally, two volunteers or more to share the role. No experience is needed - just a love of London, some organisational skills and an enthusiasm for arranging interesting trips and bringing people together. Interested? Contact groups.iu3a@gmail.com.
You may have great knowledge of a subject that you would like to share, but maybe not sure if you could give a talk, or set up and lead a group. We're happy to meet up and discuss what it would involve, and publicise your ideas. It could be a new group or just a one off talk or short series.
