We hope to launch the groups below soon. If any interest you, or if you'd like to help start and run a group, please contact Keith Mason at groupsnew.iu3a@gmail.com or visit the Information Desk at the Monthly Meeting. Support is available with planning, publicity, membership recruitment and venues.
The climate emergency and green issues: Would you like to discuss issues around climate change and ecology? If you have strong views, particularly if you would like to lead discussions, please get in touch.
Basic French conversation: Several members have asked for a group to improve their French speaking skills at a more basic level than our existing groups. Would you like to join, or even lead this group?
Arsenal women's support group: With the new season coming up fast, would you like to join a friendly group that regularly attends matches together? Let us know.
Board and card games: Are you a player? We're looking to set up a group, meeting in a games cafe in Holloway, starting in the autumn.
Some other ideas being considered: Discussion groups on AI, art history, Asian art and culture, legal aspects of aging.
We need your help!
You may have great knowledge of a subject that you would like to share, but maybe not sure if you could give a talk, or set up and lead a group. We're happy to meet up and discuss what it would involve, and publicise your ideas. It could be a new group or just a one off talk or short series. Please get in touch, however tentative your ideas may be. The membership would love to learn from you!
