The Discovering Islington and Nearby on Foot group enables members to get to know the nooks and crannies of Islington and neighbouring boroughs through monthly walking tours of around one and a half to two hours. As we learn about local areas, and sometimes further afield, we enjoy talking to each other as we walk between the different points of interest. We usually meet on a Wednesday or Thursday morning and set off around 10am. The visits are led by either one of our members or others who are knowledgeable about the area.
