This group explores developments in British and Irish literature from the end of The Great War to c.1960, drawing on a rich range of talent from Virginia Woolf and Evelyn Waugh, through Agatha Christie and P.G. Wodehouse, to Barbara Pym, Graham Greene, George Orwell, and many more. We began by focusing on the 1920s but have since broadened our scope. Members select works they find intriguing - whether discovering them for the first time or returning to them anew.
