For each meeting we read a novel in French. The discussion takes place in French, although members are free to switch to English if they wish. We read a wide range of books, both contemporary and 19th century. We prefer to read books of not more than 250p, and where possible, we try to choose a few books in advance to make them easier to obtain. In the past we have read books by Judith Perrignon, François Mauriac, Guy de Maupassant, Voltaire, Annie Ernaux, Anatole France, and Colette.
