Many members may be familiar with Chelsea Physic Garden, established in 1673, which is a unique and tranquil space in the heart of London.

The garden was set up by the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries of London, and now aims to demonstrate the medicinal, economic, cultural and environmental importance of plants to the survival of humankind. As our awareness of the climate emergency deepens it seems more important than ever to understand the role of plants in our lives.

This is an opportunity to explore the historic glasshouses (for which there is an audio guide), discover the plant collection, or simply relax and enjoy the four acres of green space in central London.
