Join us for a fascinating visit to The Charterhouse, a hidden gem in the heart of London, tucked between Barbican and Smithfield.

The Charterhouse has a remarkable 600-year history. Originally a Carthusian monastery, the site later became a Tudor mansion, a boys’ school and, from the 17th century, the charitable foundation and almshouse it remains today.

Many members will be familiar with The Charterhouse, so we have booked a special guided tour which offers the chance to discover much more. Our tour will be led by one of the resident ‘Brothers’, giving us a unique and personal insight into life at The Charterhouse, both past and present.

We’ll explore its historic buildings, beautiful courtyards and gardens, while hearing stories of the people who have lived and worked there over the centuries. It promises to be an enjoyable and intriguing outing.
