Following Oxford, Mary Honeyball’s career started in the charitable sector. She was senior manager of Scope and CEO of Gingerbread.

From 2000 to 2019, she represented London as a Labour Member of the European Parliament.

And, from 2016 to 2019, she was Vice Chair of the Women’s Rights and Gender Equality Committee.

Only someone with Mary’s impressive history could have written her latest book - Edith Summerskill: The Life and Times of a Pioneering Feminist Labour MP.
