NB: THIS IS A CHANGE TO THE PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED SPEAKER
Andrew Whitehead is a historian and journalist who has written or co-authored five books in the 'Curious' series: about Kentish Town, Camden Town, Crouch End, Muswell Hill, and the subject of this talk, King's Cross.
Each of these short books looks at about thirty buildings, architectural features or ghost signs in these localities, not always the obvious places, and explores the often hidden stories attached to them.
His aim is to encourage people to look afresh at their urban environment. He lives in Islington (just!) but supports Huddersfield Town.'
