Following the popularity of our existing International Affairs group, and with a growing waiting list, we are launching a second group to give more members the opportunity to take part.
If you like discussing international contemporary events in a lively and informative atmosphere, the International Affairs group provides a great way of doing so. In the present group, each month a different member provides a short paper on a chosen topic and then it is discussed in the Group. However this is not the only model available. There are definitely no experts or outside speakers and so the discussion is entirely self-generated. We all want to be better informed, so it is all about learning and dialogue, not argument. In the past we have discussed the Ukraine war, the Rule of Law, Brazil, Regenerative Farming Trends, the Sahel, East Germany and much more.
